Our Story
The story of Be Broken Ministries began with the story of Jonathan & Elaine Daugherty. Their own personal journey through the devastation of sexual addiction and the brokenness that followed led to the formation of the ministry. As healing began, first for Jonathan, and later for Elaine, they began to realize just how big a problem sexual addiction was for families across the country. Not wanting their efforts to be in vain, they decided to begin reaching out to other men and their families who could benefit from the principles they learned on the journey to freedom and wholeness. The road was difficult and the pain was real, but the results have been worth every step. And it will be worth it for your family too... We want you to know Jonathan & Elaine's stories. Jonathan's BioJonathan Daugherty spent 13 years trapped in sexual addiction. His world eventually crumbled in 1999, at which time God began to radically transform his life. He is the founder and director of Be Broken Ministries, and founder of Gateway to Freedom workshop for men. Jonathan also hosts the weekly radio broadcast, Pure Sex Radio, and is in demand nationally as a speaker on sexual purity and men’s issues. He has appeared on The Oprah Show, twice on ABC's Nightline, as well as other radio and television media, both local and national. Jonathan lives with his wife and three children in San Antonio, Texas.
